Fatigue Management

Fatigue Management

Fatigue increases injury risk and reduces learning efficiency. Recognising and managing it is crucial.

  • Children’s endurance is limited. Watch for trembling, sloppy technique, or loss of focus.
  • Schedule rest breaks and rotate activities to allow recovery.
  • Adjust skills to match energy levels; don’t push fatigued students.

Practical Examples:

  • Offer water breaks and short pauses after dynamic spins or climbs.
Observe for any signs of grip fatigue. Any dropping from apparatus or slouching should trigger a break.

Treat fatigue as a safety signal, not a training obstacle. Class flow should accommodate energy levels.
